RESEARCH GRANT

Danone Institute of Japan Foundation (DIJF) annually supports basic and clinical studies on food, nutrition, and various researches to prevent life-style related diseases in Japan, placing importance on childhood and elderly nutrition and probiotics.

All applications are reviewed and graded by DIJF scientific council members, and recipients are selected by DIJF board. All research results are presented at DIJF conference.

Application Outlines for 2013 DIJF Research Grant

Research fields Basic and/or clinical research on health and nutrition
Evaluation priority be placed on childhood and elderly nutrition, and probiotics
Number of the awardees/
Amount of the grant
6 or less awardees, Grant total of 12 million yen/year
Period of grant January 1 – December 31, 2013
Qualifications Researchers belonging to the universities or public institutions in Japan
Application procedures Download an application form from the website. The form must be filled out completely, and send it by e-mail or post to the DIJF office.
Selection process All applications are reviewed and graded by DIJF Scientific Council members, and awardees are selected by DIJF Board members.
Application period May 14 (Mon) – July 31 (Tue) 2012, as indicated by the postmark on the envelope
